A crackpot inventor, en route to Amsterdam to present his newfangled camping car, is caught up in a series of mishaps. M. Hulot’s last appearance, from a Tati disillusioned after the failure of Playtime, in a road movie whose stripped-down humour mocks the aberrations of the industrial age.
