Walt Disney acquired the rights to more than 300 classics of European literature during a trip to Europe in 1935, laying the foundations for his future animated output... Delving into the works of Perrault and the brothers Grimm, Disney uncovered a trilogy for the ages: Snow White, Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. The last of these three Disney princesses, Aurora, is plunged into a deep sleep by the evil Maleficent, and only the kiss of a prince will break the spell.
