Scream

Set over one night, parodying Halloween, a group of young friends from an affluent neighbourhood are butchered by a masked murderer. With both humour and wickedness, Wes Craven unveils and deconstructs the tenets of the classical slasher movie. In doing so, he proves that the time-tested structure still works down to a tee.
