Shanti! Shanti! & Zwap

Also the young children of Shanti! Shanti! sink their teeth into Klarafestival’s theme. Despite their various cultural backgrounds, they feel at one in their love for music. Conducted by Lucy Grauman, they will perform a new family concert with old and contemporary songs about passion, compassion, hope and suffering. But also about playing together, about language, about school and about family. For some of them there is also a shared tristesse because, whether recently or a long time ago, they had to leave behind precious friends and mementos. And of course there will many fun creations and world premières. Tuur Florizoone and Laurent Blondiau will present new songs, accompanied by themselves and/or members of the youth orchestra Zwap. Bodé Owa takes on the choreography and Vital Schraenen directs.
