Animated Films Distribution : What opportunities today?

Festival Anima

The Creative Europe Media Programme supports the development and production of animation projects with a European added value and a transnational distribution potential. Essential to achieve this goal is a proper production plan and an innovative distribution and marketing strategy, even in the earliest stages of development. How to present an animated film project and show its distribution potential? How to seize market opportunities? What about online distribution?

Organized by the Creative Europe Media desk Flanders and Wallonia-Brussels, the session will kick off with the brief presentation: “The Media programme: What’s in there for animation professionals?”. The round table will bring together producers and distributors sharing their good practices, experiences and visions. A special focus will be on feature animation films for non-young audiences/adults. The session will be followed by a networking lunch offered by the Desks and Unie Van Regisseurs

Speakers : Vincent Tavier (La Parti Productions), producer of «Panique au village» and «La rentrée des classes» – Diana Elbaum (Entre Chien et Loup), producer of « Le magasin des suicides » and « The Congress » - Annemie Degryse (Lumière & Lunanime), producer of «Phantom Boy» and distributor of «Souvenirs de Marnie» and «The Wind Rises». Eric Goossens (Walking the Dog) co-producer of «Les Triplettes de Belleville» and «The Congress» will moderate the session.
