Since its creation in 1992, DAAU’s music has been characterized by what it is not: it is neither classical music, nor rock or folk, but a combination of those genres. The band members have succeeded in creating a unique acoustic sound. They play their instruments with a rock attitude while they additionally display a gipsy character. DAAU has quickly established a strong live reputation and presents us with their soundtrack from L’Hiver Dernier, which perfectly reflects John Shank’s universe. The soundtrack shows that DAAU’s artistic development is fully flourishing.

Premiere of 'L'Hiver Dernier'

The hard, soul-breaking solitude of a young farmer’s life in this first film by John Shank, who has made a visual poem about a dying world. A Franco-Belgian co-production, the film will be screened in Studio 4, along with a concert by Daau who wrote the first-rate soundtrack music.
