String Trios
Music Chapel Festival: Vienna Classics
The Divertimento KV 563 is the only trio for strings by Mozart. The music was written in Vienna, during a financial and psychological disastrous time for the composer. As a result, the inspiration for the Divertimento is more serious than the title suggests. In 1816, Schubert begins to compose his own string trio, but he only completed the initial Allegro, known for his freshness and endearing charm.
