Vijay Iyer Trio + Vijay Iyer & Wadada Leo Smith: A Cosmic Rhythm With Each Stroke

Wadada Leo Smith ("One of the 80 coolest things in jazz today" in Down Beat Magazine) and grammy-winner Vijay Iyer ('Artist of the Year 2015' in Down Beat Magazine) explore the expressive possibilities of the combination trumpet-piano. By doing this, they follow in the footsteps of legendary duo’s such as Louis Armstrong with Earl "Fatha" Hines. During the first part of the concert, Vijay Iyer will take to the stage with his own trio.
