A Man Called Ove
Premiere | Brussels Film Festival
The story of an old man, grumpy and suicidal, dedicated to reign absolute order in his neighborhood admonishing the residents. When new neighbors, including a pregnant woman, move into the house next door, the worst seems to land on his doorstep. This marks the end of his peace. Yet little by little, an unlikely friendship develops between the young woman and him. He even gives up his suicide attempts which have also all failed miserably, and begins to fully start living again, without causing hassle to his neighbours anymore. Taken from Swedish writer Frederik Backman’s best-seller and after being a huge success in Sweden, Ove now arrives in Belgium. Get ready to succumb to the antics of this troublemaker, but also to fall under his spell because if humor seals the stages of his life, emotion is its cement.
