Mâäk

A contemporary mini brass band... playing unamplified, to take advantage of each musician’s richness. The central core of the Mâäk-collective is made of four blowers and one drummer. They were in residence in Johannesburg at the end of 2012 to practice a new repertoire and experiment new methods of playing. Their last album, Buenaventura, came out in January 2013 on the W.E.R.F. label.
