Andre Dartevelle devoted forty years of his life to highlighting his era, relentlessly shining a spotlight on that which would otherwise have been forgotten by history and the world. This film, laden with striking images and enlightening testimonies, pays homage to him and is richly deserved. Unfortunately, he will never see the completed work as he lost his battle against illness before filming was complete.
