« Human spirit »

How can a vulnerable human being who is aware of his own mortality, draw upon his own inner strengths, his 'human spirit'? And how do people do this when accompanying a dying person, helping them deepen their thoughts and humanity until the very end? This is the theme that will be discussed by Marie de Hennezeel in the Flagey building on 21st March. This psychologist and Jungian psychiatrist specialises in palliative care and has written, amongst other things, 'De Intieme Dood' (Intimacy of death) (Altamira), for which François Mitterrand wrote the preface. During twelve years, Marie Hennezeel built up a deeply personal  'spiritual friendship' with the president.
