Flagey 75

The Brussels Philharmonic honours  Belgian composer August De Boeck and performs one of his most famous works from 1893, the Dahomenian Rhapsody, a score filled with melodic creativity and amazing orchestration. On the program as well: Bartók’s Concerto for Orchestra, the world premiere of Michel Tabachnik’s Violin Concerto directed by himself with violinist Otto Derolez, and last but not least, Milhaud’s Scaramouche.

Phantom of Flagey (with the support of the SONUMA)
For the 75th birthday of the house, Flagey works closely together with SONUMA to present a unique piece of archive material, illustrating some significant events in the long history of the Flagey-building. The premiere is planned on March, 15th in Studio 4 during the anniversary concert of Brussels Philharmonic.
