Blue Notes from Portugal (part 2)

Festival Anima

This country, where the animation industry is practically non-existent, has nevertheless brought us some radiantly beautiful films. Despite its small production, Portugal will never be forgotten thanks to the tenacity of its independent artists, like Feijo, Pessoa, Ribeiro or Zepe, who have managed to make their films "by combining public aid with their love of filmmaking". Their films contain existential questions tinted with a strand of melancholy which belongs only to them and a highly researched graphic quality.
