A Generation
Pokolenie | Andrzej Wajda
A young worker joins the Communist resistance to the Nazi occupation. He swiftly goes from theory to action, but inevitably ends up at loggerheads with the movement’s pro-British fringe. Wajda’s first feature film was already bringing his core themes sharply into focus, in particular the ideological fault lines that cut through Polish society.
