A 23-year-old Jean Antoine started working for Belgian national broadcaster, INR, when TV first arrived in Belgium. He presented Le Grand Voyage, the first fictional drama performed live in front of the cameras, on 11 November 1953. He soon became a director and helped create, and regularly contributed to, the TV culture section. Jean Antoine passed away a year ago, leaving us with a fascinating body of work punctuated by encounters with the leading creators of the twentieth century.
