Following the murder of a young woman in a luxury hotel room in Cairo, a police officer begins an investigation that will lead him from Cairo’s slums to the country’s upper echelons. This Swedish co-production is a thriller set against the backdrop of the Arab Spring of 2011, and bears the marks of a director-screenwriter (in his third film) who has an insider’s knowledge of Egyptian society.
