In collaboration with ReMuA and Flagey, the Brussels Philharmonic offers a number of interactive concerts this season, developed specially for schools. In this way, we seek to give as many children as possible, via school, homework classes or youth centres, an opportunity to discover classical music. The principle is the same each time: a concert by the Brussels Philharmonic at Flagey’s beautiful Studio 4 is accompanied by a live commentary, and the children take part in ‘making music’ (singing, clapping, foot stamping, reciting texts). Before they attend the concert, the children are given some preparation in class by one of the ReMuA musicians. These interactive concerts are a unique opportunity for schools to attend a real concert, in a real concert hall, with a real orchestra – and are a fantastic way to discover new forms of expression and to develop each child’s artistic potential.
