The Belle Époque… Its colour and aroma found expression in the vibrant cafés and fragrant salons of Paris in 1900. Each composer had his own story, his own voice, alternating between unbridled joy and bleak melancholy. But the melody always prevailed. Hence the name given to the songs of the time: mélodie.
