A hurricane rages and drags Dorothy to a fabulous country 'over the Rainbow'. To return home, she embarks on a fairy-tale journey. With the help of her red shoes and following a yellow-brick path, she ends up meeting the Wizard of Oz. Along the way, she encounters a scarecrow, a lion and an iron woodcutter, which transform the musical into an initiation story. A cult film from the time of the major Hollywood studios, in this case the famous studio Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer.
