Two documentaries by Marquis de Wavrin
Venezuela, petite Venise + Chez les Indiens sorciers
During his travels to Colombia (1932-1933), de Wavrin met several indigenous peoples (Guahibo, Choco, Arawak, Motilón...). They allowed him to film their rituals, something no other foreigner had ever attend. These recordings were later used for his ethnographic documentary Chez les Indiens sorciers. A missed expedition brings the Marquis to Venezuela, where he filmed Venezuela, petite Venise.
