Un Homme est mort / Les Armateurs

Un Homme est mort

Olivier Cossu

Spring 1950, Brest, France. Workers are demonstrating. The police shoot at the crowd. René Vautier, a young and committed filmmaker films the brawl and, using what means he has, organizes screenings of his documentary to alert public opinion. His film has now disappeared, but the story lives on thanks, in particular, to the comic strip of the same name, by Étienne Davodeau, and this film adapted from it.
