Former Hollywood celebrity Gloria Grahame (Annette Bening) only plays in small theaters nowadays. During her tour of England, she meets the young actor Peter Turner (Jamie Bell) who quickly becomes fascinated by this legendary femme fatale. What begins as a passionate affair gradually develops into a solid relationship. Although Gloria is almost 30 years older, Peter seems to be the only person with whom she can find comfort. But their passion and their joy of life will be put to the test .... The film is an adaptation of the memoirs of Peter Turner, who plays Jack in the film.
