The Russian violinist Andrey Baranov was the grand winner of the first prize of the Queen Elisabeth Competition in 2012. He is now the first violinist of the David Oistrakh Quartet, which he founded in 2012. Together with his sister, pianist Maria Baranova, herself winner of numerous competitions, he explores during this concert a broad repertoire in which the emotional strength and virtuosity of the violin play a central role.
