Demobilised Belgian soldier Paul Bergot (Langdon) is taken on by travelling strong man Zankow as an assistant. Having gone in search of the blind American girl who had been his pen pal during the war, Langdon unleashes the wildest slapstick without ever snapping out of his lethargy, his man-child persona.
