Amin came from Senegal to work in France, leaving his wife Aïcha and their three children in the country. In France, Amin has only his job and no other friends than the men he lives with, but all that changes when he meets someone.

A Frenchman born in Morocco, Philippe Faucon was the assistant of Jacques Demy and Leos Carax. Amin is his 9th feature, many of his films exploring migrant communities. Other movies of note include La Désintégration (released at Flagey) and Fatima (presented at the rerun of the 2015 Fortnight).
