Croatia, January 1992. During the Yugoslav conflict, Chris, a young Swiss journalist and cousin to the film's director, is found murdered wearing the uniform of a foreign mercenary. As a little girl, Anja Kofmel admired this mysterious young man. As an adult, she decides to do some investigating and find out about his involvement in a conflict often manipulated by ulterior motives.
