April 1981. Romy Schneider visits a luxury spa in Quiberon. She is at the height of her fame as an actress but plumbing the depths of her personal torment, a year before her dramatic death. She agrees to talk to a journalist from Stern, who gains her trust. This film is the reconstructed story of this interview: a respectful yet relevant exploration of the tragic underside of fame and the gaping chasm between public persona and private trauma.
