Fanny et Félix | Quatuor Alfama & Ariane Rousseau

The Alfama Quartet’s third performance focuses on the most captivating musical siblings of the 19th century: Felix and Fanny Mendelssohn. This biographical and fictional portrait of Fanny Mendelssohn could only be fully realised through her relationship with her younger brother Felix. The show will include excerpts from Felix’s quartets (notably Opus 80 which he dedicated to his deceased sister) and will be underpinned by the only quartet that Fanny ever wrote.
