MDC III

No Brussels Jazz Festival without some remarkable names from the Belgian jazz scene: you may know Mattias De Craene as the saxophonist of jazz band Nordmann. But now he's launching the new project MDC III, for which he's surrounded by drummers Simon Segers and Lennert Jacobs. For this seductive rhythmic play between saxophone and drums he was inspired by Interstellar Space, the famous double album of sax legend John Coltrane and drummer Rashied Ali. The highly acclaimed debut album Dreamhatcher from 2018 makes us look forward to the first performance of the group at Flagey, which marks the end of the intense label night devoted to De W.E.R.F. Records.
