The improbable, yet true, story of two East German families who built a hot-air balloon under the nose of the Stasi to cross the Iron Curtain at night. Already given the Disney treatment in 1982 (Night Crossing), this version of events may have lost some of its topicality after the fall of the Berlin wall, but still retains its resonance.
