Julien Libeer | Flagey, architect Joseph Diongre / Johan Jacobs

Julien Libeer

Julien Libeer, artist-in-residence at Flagey, offers us the first piano recital of the season. The concert will feature a selection from his most recent CDs, including an ethereal version of Maurice Ravel’s Valses nobles et sentimentales (Lignes claires, 2016) and the works of Bach and Bartok from his latest CD, released in January 2020 to rave reviews. The concert ends with Chopin’s Piano Sonata No. 2, famous above all for its particularly tragic third movement, the Funeral March.
