Cuarteto Casals

Together with Cuarteto Casals, we planned an extensive Beethoven project during the Klarafestival last year, which was cancelled due to corona. The quartet opens symbolically with Shostakovich's moving Eleventh String Quartet, a tribute by the composer to a deceased friend. Beethoven's Eighth String Quartet, one of the famous Razumovsky quartets, is combined with music by the composer's greatest admirer and the central figure of this musical weekend, Felix Mendelssohn.
