Ensemble Oxalys & Joseph Aubert

Although the adventures of Tijl Uilenspiegel mainly take place in Flanders, it was in Ixelles that writer Charles De Coster lived and invented the legend. This performance by Oxalys, directed by Luk  De Bruyker, is based on the chamber music version of Richard Strauss' symphonic poem. Acrobat and circus artist Joseph Aubert takes on the role of the intrepid, mischievous and amusing adventurer, and performs his quest for freedom and independence.
