Old hunters in rural Italy recall the legend of Luciano.
A wandering drunkard, Luciano clashes constantly with a tyrannical provincial prince. Their rivalry, fuelled by passions and jealousy, leads Luciano to commit the unforgivable. Forced into exile in remote Tierra del Fuego, the ill-fated criminal, surrounded by opportunistic gold-diggers, sets out to find a buried treasure, the one and only path to redemption.
