David Oistrakh Quartet

Rodion Petrov, Fedor Belugin and Alexey Zhilin may be names you have not yet heard of, but that of Andrey Baranov should ring a bell. He made a lasting impression at last year's Queen Elisabeth Competition by winning the First Prize, now he's back with his newly-formed quartet named after David Oistrakh. Vivacity, dynamism and extreme precision are the keywords to their performances, this time in a programme devoted to Haydn, Tchaïkovsky and Shostakovitch.
