La Monnaie Septet

Lunchtime concert with the Monnaie Septet performing Beethoven's opus 20 and an Adagio and fugue in F minor, arranged by Mozart after a fugue by Wilhelm Friedemann Bach. Many experts consider chamber music to be the most refined musical form, and it is no coincidence that numerous composers have written their greatest masterpieces for this more intimate genre. The orchestra of la Monnaie is a high-ranking ensemble comprising select musicians who are also keen to lend their qualities as soloists to genres other than opera and symphonic works, so it has given rise to a number of permanent chamber music ensembles.
