The Vienna Boys' Choir - Die Wiener Sängerknaben - is a boys' choir based in Vienna and one of the best known boys' choirs in the world. In Flagey's Studio 4, the boys will sing a repertoire ranging from Gallus and Mendelssohn to Duruflé and Mozart, as well as some of Europe's most beautiful Christmas songs. On the occasion of Benjamin Britten's 100th birthday in 2013, some pieces from his "Ceremony of Carols" will be on the programme as well.
Three school groups from the French-, Dutch- and German-speaking communities will exceptionnally join the Wiener Sängerknaben on stage. A meeting with professional young singers that promises to be highly emotional on the Flagey stage.
