Since Nuages : Lettres à mon fils Marion Hänsel has shown herself to be open to the use of cinema to create atypical works, where she expresses herself directly in the first person.

Flagey is releasing her new documentary Il était un petit navire in the shape of a self-portrait and the filmed portrait produced in the Cinéastes d'aujourd'hui series, Par-delà les nuages: le cinéma de Marion Hänsel. The two complement each other: one approaches the person, the other her art.
