Huit femmes (François Ozon)

Une France enchantée

In 1963, Jacques Demy changed the landscape of French cinema with his magical film, Les Parapluies de Cherbourg. Many French directors have since taken up the daunting challenge of combining song and drama to give substance to injustice and human emotion. Resnais, Honoré, Ducastel, Martineau and Ozon have all, in their own way, reinvented or paid tribute to this world that we would love to see infusing our own dramas with light.
