'Schubert writes something that comes from another planet', said England's Paul Lewis in 2011 when he embarked on a worldwide tour dedicated to the composer's music. In the meantime, Lewis is considered one of the most prominent performers of Schubert's music. Recently, as artist in residence of Flagey, he recorded a selection of lyrical and musically surprising sonatas, released on the Harmonia Mundi label. This release concert of the new album promises to be a real treat.
