At its heart lies a delectable trio. Soprano Marie Perbost and tenor Pierre Derhet, virtuosos of both word and vocal line, move effortlessly between styles and registers with a keen sense of theatre. Alongside them, the flamboyant and celebrated conductor Hervé Niquet returns to the keyboard – an event in itself! – in a deliberate nod to the spirit of cabaret. Clarinet and double bass complete the ensemble, adding a warm, popular colour, with the evocative atmosphere of smoky cafés and Parisian nights.
