A distant line, always shifting, retreating as we move toward it. It is more a promise than a destination. An invitation to look further, to look differently.

For this new edition of the Festival Musiq3 Brussels, we have embraced plurality. Music never follows a single path, but opens a multiplicity of landscapes, sometimes unexpected, where eras, cultures, and imaginations intersect. Each concert becomes a crossing, each act of listening becomes an invitation to travel.

From jazz improvisation to the great works of Mozart, from echoes of the East, carried by Sufi traditions, to the rhythms of Brazil, from Vivaldi to Iranian rhythms: music flows and continually reinvents itself. Debussy enters into dialogue with our present, Bach meets Sofie Rohnstock, and today’s artists trace the contours of the musical world of tomorrow. The festival thus becomes a space where time is no longer linear, but living, vibrant, and open.

At a time when withdrawal and division run through society, affirming the circulation of works, artists, and ideas is far from insignificant. To programme is to choose. And to choose today also means rejecting narrow boundaries, single narratives, and fixed identities. This edition is driven by a conviction: that art can still re-enchant the world by making it tangible once again, by revealing what connects rather than what divides, by reminding us that other paths are possible.

From the sunlit energy of the opening concert celebrating Judy Garland to intimate dialogues between instruments from distant horizons, from engaged storytelling for young ears to the great orchestral frescoes of the closing concert, Flagey and Théâtre Marni become shared spaces where we listen, discover, and marvel together.

Horizons are never given. They are built, dreamed, and shared.
