On 21st June, Mustii, Kris Dane and Castus will be at Flagey to celebrate the Fête de la Musique.

The Brussels Film Festival, dedicated to European cinema, is developing since 2010 a series of public and professional events, highlighting the link between film and contemporary music. After the Tindersticks, the Chromatics, Chrysta Bell, Roscoe, Mélanie De Biasio, The Flying Horseman, Follakzoid , Little Cheap Dictaphone and Zone Libre last year, the Festival welcomes Castus, Kris Dane and Mustii for an exceptional evening.

Mustii
Mustii is a young Belgian multifaceted artist. Equally comfortable in cinema as in music, he juggles between being an actor, a songwriter and a performer. His powerful and distinctive voice detaches him from his youthful looks, and the melodic sense of his own music compositions have been an undeniable success. In 2015, he signed with Kid Noize’s label, "Black Giza Records " and released his first single “ The Golden Age”. Broadcast on more than fifteen national radio stations, this single marks the beginning of his musical adventure in electro- pop. What is certain is that his theatricality and voice leaves no one indifferent. Mustii will now embark with us on a new path where he is combining both his love for music and cinema.

Kris Dane
Kris Dane lives in the center of Brussels. As a citizen of the world, his inspiration comes from way further than the borders of our Kingdom. Full of international influences, Kris Dane has worked on a variety of artistic projects (An opera by Philippe Boesmans, Aka Moon, Ictus) and groups (dEUS , Ghinzu). Having resumed since 2006 his solo in order to concentrate on his own writing, his style is a universal mix of blues, rock, folk and gospel. His latest album " Rose of Jericho", an absolutely marvelous work piece, seems to find its roots in the United States of the early 70’s. It is therefore logical that he chose " Paris Texas " by Wim Wenders to offer a unique Film-concert. This memorable moment should not to be missed at any cost by any fans of folk-rock music.

Castus
Castus is a band led by Cédric Castus composed by a bunch of friends and musicians from a couple of other Belgian bands which you must have heard of on the belgian music scenery (Girls in Hawaii , Françoiz Breut...). From the start, when listening to their new album, we think and dream of movie scenes. The atmosphere, the sound and music voluntarily without any singer reminds us of cinematic atmospheres. Castus collaborates with videographer Julien Bechara, filming Brussels for months under every angle or rather the evolution of a constantly changing city. We love this city and the music created by Castus makes it even more desirable and intriguing.

It is therefore a 100% Brussels Film-concert that will take place at the Brussels Film Festival 2016.
