The young French pianist Lucas Debargue was the revelation of the international Tchaikovsky Competition in 2015. He won “only” 4th Prize, yet he went home with the coveted special prize of the Moscow Music Critics Association. Today he is a regular guest at major concert halls all over the world. This promising young pianist will make his first appearance in Belgium. By playing Beethoven’s last Piano Sonata No. 32, musically and technically a great challenge for any pianist, Bach’s refined polyphony in Toccata in C minor and some of the most famous piano works of Chopin, he will show us the extent of his talents.
"Depuis le passage de Glenn Gould à Moscou et la victoire de Van Cliburn au Concours Tchaïkovski en pleine guerre froide, un pianiste étranger n’avait jamais suscité pareille effervescence." (Olivier Bellamy, Le Huffington Post)
