Fleeing the armed conflict in Colombia, Nuria, 12, Fabio, 9, and their mother Amparo end up on an island in the middle of the Amazon. Haunted by family secrets, Amparo is walled up in silence. In the stilt house that they move into, the family find the father they thought had died during the hostilities. Tragic events are woven by the director into a magical story.
