Faust

The Russian director Alexander Sokurov pulled the narratives of the Faust legend by Goethe and Thomas Mann into a new world that is vaguely reminiscent of 19th-century Central Europe. In 2011, his Faust won a Golden Lion for best film at the Venice Film Festival!
