Cinéma en atelier

The publication of the book Cinéma en atelier shines a light on French-speaking Belgian cinema.

Workshops provide many filmmakers with the means to create with smaller budgets but without having to wait for months on end before they secure conventional funding. This model, suited to low-budget production, is envied beyond our borders. Since its opening in 2003, Studio 5 has always given pride of place to productions supported by these workshops. It has screened short films, documentaries, experimental and animated films. This season, our programme features – from the workshops – Philippe de Pierpont’s tetralogy, whose La prochaine fois que je viendrai au monde will receive its national premiere (Graphoui and Dérives).
