The Piano Concerto No. 27 is Mozart’s last piano concerto. The development contains one of Mozart’s most daring harmonic passages, which has been compared to the music of Debussy. In his Sechs kleine Klavierstücke, Schoenberg pushed the boundaries of music. These six piano pieces, which together last no longer than five minutes, question the traditional musical forms and gently blur the contours of tonal music. Lutosławski did likewise in his Concerto for Orchestra, in which he followed in the footsteps of Bartók: an experiment in colour and structure combined with recognition and deep emotion, thanks to the use of traditional folkloric music.
