Fury (Lang)

Fritz Lang : American period

The greatness of Fritz Lang was perhaps due to the fact that he was able to adapt his directorial vision to the mutations of cinematographic language throughout the 20th century: from silents to talkies, from black and white to colour.

Perhaps it was also his ability to switch from one filming method to another, building on new possibilities all the time. He had already made some of the greatest films of the golden age of German cinema, before he went into exile in France due to the rise of Nazism, then moving to the United States where he put his talent at the service of the major studios.
